So, I guess I forgot to tell you (officially) about Script Frenzy. Yes, I am writing a screenplay with my Pip, my aka amazing hobbit friend, and yes, we are going to make it to 100 pages. Yes, we are 16 pages away. Yes, I'm loving it.
Yes, our script stinks, and no, it's not going to be the next blockbuster hit. Yes, we have the best characters ever. No, I do not know where our plot is going. Why do you ask?
Yes, I did doubt whether we could write a script in a month, and yes, I was wrong. No, we aren't going to act out our script. That would be fun, but albeit difficult because our two main characters are guys. (And no, the men in this picture are not them.)
Yes, the script is called the Romantic Plot Trasher, and no, it's not romantic anymore - the romance died in the first few scenes. Literally. Instead, it's now a thriller revolving around hidden secrets and a missing children's book, not to mention a nine-year-old named Damian who thinks he rules the world.
Yes, I still have to add a Script Frenzy button to my sidebar, and no, I can't do that right now since the SF site is down. But yes, you can keep up with our progress once the site is functioning again. Yes, this link might just take you to our SF profile.
Yes, we are at 16 pages, and yes, I am excited. Yes, I love screenwriting! Do you?

I never expected to get to 50 followers. I would see blogs with 50 followers or more, and think, "how did they get that far?"
And now I'm wondering the same thing about myself.

The sky is a really pretty shade of blue right now, and I have a headache. I want to write something epic... something amazing. Like, something about Avary and her epic quest to save the world. The problem with that story is, I'm not sure where to begin. My dad told me, "whatever you do, don't start at the beginning." I'm still trying to figure out how to interpret that...
As far as Avary's story goes, I have half-a-plot and TONS of ideas. I even have 5-10 scenes written. But that's where the inspiration stops. I mean, I know I have half the scenes written, in fact a lot of the major plot points. But as for the in-between, as for actually starting... I have no idea what I'm doing.
Speaking of having no idea what I'm doing, Pip and I are halfway through that crazy thing called Script Frenzy (the thing that also has incapacitated my blog for a little while). We're 56 pages in, and I'm lovin' it so far. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I love it. My mind is filled with sluglines, character dialogue, actions, and how to write the perfect flashback.
And as much as I have talked about writing in this post, I really haven't been writing at all. My main project, Reese's Pieces book 2, is at a stand still, at least for now until I can actually find time to write. *sigh*
I have a bunch of blog post ideas, but I've been modding and writing and living life. Plus, I have been getting over my allergies, and my pain level has been really high this week. Even now I have a headache.
By the time I'm done typing this, the sky is an even deeper, more beautiful shade of blue. I'm looking out at the streetlight, and I am going to eat some chocolate cheesecake. Adios. :D
...Maybe. We have to thaw it out first. Microwave, anyone?

That said, I have been busy. Between getting new couches, driving all around town, watching Secret Millionaire, school, and babysitting, well, life has been crazy. Oh, and did I mention that I was asked to be a forum moderator on NarniaWeb.com? That was pretty much the highlight of my month. ;) I'm enjoying being a mod so much! The moderators are great, and a lot less scary now that I am one. ;) When I got a PM asking me to mod, I pretty much freaked. So here's a shout out to my NWeb peeps that read my blog. You are all amazing!
Another thing I've been doing is exploring the world of scriptwriting, with this crazy person, my Pip. We're participating in the month of craziness known as Script Frenzy. It's been pretty fun. We're at 19 pages right now, though I'm working to bring that to 20. I just got distracted and had to blog. Oops. :P Our script is going amazingly well though, and if you'd like to keep up on our progress, we have a joint account here, as well as my own on the adult SF site.
Anyway, I'll try to get back into blogging. At this point, this is going to be a short post, because for the past two days I've had an extremely bad headache. Tuesday was kind of like my Monday, except my Monday was pretty crazy-busy too, as I spent the afternoon helping little kids learn how to do public speaking. So the past couple days have been kind of hard for me. Hence the title. This weekend was fun but exhausting, because we bought a new couch and spent half the weekend running around town. Since I have chronic pain, and part of what I deal with includes chronic fatigue, it's been hard to recover from doing so much. *sigh*
Prayers would be appreciated. I've just been feeling kind of down lately, especially because of my incessant headache, so if you have any encouraging words, please leave them in a comment. :) I've missed you guys! *hugs*

Well, some of you might know that NaNo has another event called Script Frenzy. And I am seriously thinking of participating.

Why am I panicking, you ask? Because I've never even written a movie script. Now, my Pip tells me it shouldn't be too hard. So we'll see. My instinct is to go stock up on writing-script-books, but I don't want to overreact.
Oh. I'm overreacting already, aren't I?
Anyway, my Pip - known to some of you as Georgie Penn @ Before My Penn Has Gleaned - and I are going to write a script together. It's an epic tale about a marooned pirate, and it should be really fun. ...If we can get our plot together in time.

We've been planning this story for a couple years, though, so we can't go too wrong.
